Waynesburg Pennsylvania has the distinction of having rain on every July 29th.  Rain Day, has come to be known, not just in Waynesburg, but also throughout the United States and in many foreign countries, is a combination of fact and fantasy.  Although records have only been kept in more recent times, it has rained in Waynesburg on July 29th for 111 out of the last 135 years (as of 2009).  Sometimes, there have been only a few sprinkles in widely separated parts of town, much to the delight of those who think that there is a mystique surrounding the event.  For more information on Rain Day – please visit http://www.raindayfestival.com
