Berry Sweet Temptations started filling orders for cookies, candy and chocolate covered strawberries in December 2010, making around 4,000 cookies with one oven. Fully licensed and USDA approved, Shirley Despot/owner, bakes everyday from her home in Clarksville, PA. The bake shop is separate from the rest of her home She is a retired registered nurse and has been very busy with her new adventure making cookie bouquets, Easter eggs and taking orders for the famous southwestern PA cookie table at wedding receptions. In January she purchased 2 wall ovens that helped speed up production.

Shirley is offering baked goods that are often one of a kind and designer. She uses edible sparkles, pearls, crystals and chocolate handmade curls to give everything that special touch. Berry Sweet Temptations wants to have baked goods that isn't offered in our local area and is always keeping up with the latest trends in the world of sweets. She is getting many orders for cake and brownie pops that are becoming popular as favors for baby and bridal showers, birthday parties and wedding receptions. Other new items are cookie pizzas (available daily by order), cup cakes and chocolate covered fruit such as grapes, oranges, and bananas. Chocolate covered marshmallows are also on the menu and they are turned into fun favors for all occasions. The cookies not only look good but taste good according to her customers. The bake shop has a small following on face book and her customers have written so many nice compliments about the products they have received.

Cookie tasting and private consultations with brides-to-be is a new service. The future bride and several guests are able to taste their cookies before ordering, a service not offered locally. It is for weddings only and no fee is charged. Most consultations for other occasions may be made right over the phone or via e-mail. Orders have been received as far north as Mercer County, but most of her business is local reaching customers in Greene, Washington, Fayette and Westmoreland Counties. All baked goods are listed on the web site and can be ordered from there. Credit and debit cards are accepted.
