Owners David & Connie Burd are accompanied by Les McCollough, Diana Haywood, and Peggy Grimes. Les is the mill expert, Diana specializes in equine products, and Peggy is the computer / operations guru. But, Dave has the final word!

We feed you barnyard buddies, man’s best friend, finicky felines, and exotics like cockatiel, ferrets, and lop eared rabbits. Waynesburg Agway carries grooming supplies, medications, vitamins, flea and tick preventatives, shampoos, combs, leashes, pet carriers, kennels, and bedding.

In the Spring, gardeners are welcomed to the store by spinners of flower and vegetable seeds. We sell bulbs, fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, fruit tree sprays, and all the tools to get the job done. Our nursery opens in mid April welcoming the splash of colorful hanging baskets along with onion bulbs and plants, rhubarb, asparagus, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries, and grapevines. At just the right time, we stock the greenhouse full to overflowing with tomato plants, peppers, cucumbers, melons, cabbage, broccoli, eggplant, and all the wonderful tastes we have so long awaited.

By Summer, when fruits and vegetables are at their peak, home canners will find a wide variety of jars, lids, pressure cookers, preservatives, sauce mixes, spices, sieves, apple peelers, re-sealable bags, and handy gadgetry. Without a doubt, Waynesburg Agway is your answer to your questions about preserving the great flavors of Pennsylvania. We carry telescoping apple pickers, pruners, rakes, hoes, shovels, and all sorts of farm tools. Looking for an old fashioned wide brimmed sun hat and a pair of sunglasses for the field? Agway’s the place.
We welcome Fall with an annual Early Bird wood pellet and bird seed sale. Our shelves are stocked with rain gauges that measure precipitation and thermometers to watch as the temperature drops. Rows of garbage bags in various sizes are ready for the annual cleanup. Don’t forget, Waynesburg Agway is your Buy Local source for autumn decorations. Every August, we usher in the mums, and by September, the pumpkins and corn stocks have arrived. We have hay and straw all year round.

Ice melters clear a path through Winter’s fury while warm Polar Bear jackets, coveralls, and pants help keep our customers toasty warm. We sell durable Key jeans, shirts, and jackets as well as Statesman’s boots, Tingley rubbers, and an assortment of waterproof footwear. We help keep you warm and dry. Another winter favorite is our Backyard Blend bird seed and black oil sunflower seeds.
