$1,500 CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE The Waynesburg Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications from graduating seniors for the 20th Annual Chamber of Commerce Scholarship they will award this May. The scholarship program is open to any Greene County student who will be a graduating senior in 2010. The Chamber urges all high school seniors who have been accepted to a College or Technical School as an incoming freshman this Fall and have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better while in high school to apply for this scholarship. Applicants will be required to write an essay on "How do you plan to use your education to make a difference in your life and your community?". Applicants must also furnish a listing of their school activities and local community involvement that will be used in the event of a tie. Applications are available at each County High School and the Greene County Career and Technical Center or can be obtained clicking the link below. Completed applications must be submitted by 4:00pm on Wednesday, April 14th. The winner will be announced on or before May 14th and the Scholarship Award presented at the Chamber's monthly General Membership Luncheon on May 26th. |

The second edition of the Chamber's "Welcome to Waynesburg" book, sometimes known as the "Green Book", is now in the office. A big thank you goes out to all the advertisers who supported the production of the publication. The book provides beautiful full color photos and text that showcases the Waynesburg Area.
