
MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Maintained a level of operations in accordance with the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce Executives Network Approved Chamber Status. The status provides a benchmark for Chambers in Pennsylvania to measure their operational success.
• Remained one of the 25th Largest Chambers of Commerce in Southwestern Pennsylvania by the Pittsburgh Business Times in the nine county region.
• Maintained the Chamber office at 60 West High Street. The office houses a customer reception area, work area for two staff, a project work area, a conference area, storage area and kitchenette.
• Provided an opportunity for Bonner Scholars from Waynesburg University to complete required community service hours by assisting with the organization of the Annual Christmas Parade, the presentation of the Distinguished Service Awards and regular office duties.
• Continued the publishing of a monthly newsletter which includes the publication of an online version found on our website.
• Awarded the 16th annual Educational Scholarship to Haddie Roberts of Waynesburg.
• Presented the 2006 Individual Distinguished Service Award to Mr. Charles Berryhill.
• Continued to support the activities of Waynesburg Prosperous and Beautiful, Inc. which began as a Chamber committee seeking to bring a Main Street Program to Waynesburg.
• Reprinted and updated the “While You’re in Waynesburg” brochure in conjunction with Waynesburg University, Waynesburg Borough and Waynesburg Prosperous and Beautiful, Inc. showcasing Chamber member businesses as well as others in the downtown.
• Hosted the “Administrative Professional’s Day” luncheon at Rohanna’s Restaurant with Beth Dolinar, columnist as the keynote speaker.
