WAYNESBURG CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HOSTS GREENE COUNTY DAY AT KENNYWOOD PARK

The annual tradition of Greene County Day at Kennywood Park continued on Tuesday, July 5th as four buses and numerous car loads of Greene County residents made the annual plimgrage. The event is sponsored each year by the Waynesburg Chamber of Commerce and WANB Radio. For the past two years, Williams, has sponsored all of the bus transportation and hosted a community picnic for 200 guests inside the park. In addition, they purchased tickets for needy families to attend.

The event includes various queens and title holders from across the county as well as the contestants for the title of Miss Rain Day 2011. Doug Wilson, radio host from WANB Radio did the honors of introducing the girls to the audience on the Kennyville stage. The day concluded with a fireworks display as the park closed.
